Show Choir Parent Meeting – May 20, 2025 | 6:00 p.m. | NWRHS Lecture Hall

All students selected for the 2025–2026 Northwest Rankin Show Choirs and their parents/guardians are required to attend our annual Parent Meeting on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Northwest Rankin High School Lecture Hall. This meeting is for parents of all show choirs, both Middle and High School families. The meeting is crucial to ensure a strong start to the season and will include:

• Program expectations for the upcoming year

• Fee structure and payment timeline (first deposit due at this meeting)

• Travel, rehearsal, and performance commitments

• Volunteer and committee sign-ups

• Introduction of Directors, Staff, and Advisory Board

• Overview of the 2025–2026 Choral Music Handbook

Please bring your student’s initial deposit (see page 13 of the Handbook for amount and acceptable payment methods), which confirms participation and allows us to begin costume and production planning and procurement.

We cannot stress enough how important it is for all families to be present. This meeting ensures clear communication, prevents confusion, and sets our ensembles up for success. Families will also have the opportunity to join key volunteer committees—an essential part of our award-winning program’s continued excellence.

Reminder: Audition Disclosure Statement

As outlined in the Show Choir Handbook, all audition results and ensemble placements are final and were determined through a fair and thorough evaluation process. By auditioning, students and families agreed to the disclosure statement, acknowledging that placement decisions reflect what is best for the program as a whole and may not be discussed or appealed.
